This forum runs on a shared mesh network. Every message travels through

radios, relays and volunteers. Respect and brevity are not just good

manners here: they are what keeps the network usable for everyone.

1) Respect comes first

Argue with ideas, never with people. No insults, no contempt, no sarcasm

aimed at someone. You can disagree deeply and stay civil.

2) No discrimination

Racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, religious or ethnic hatred:

zero tolerance, immediate action.

3) No harassment

Do not follow someone from thread to thread, do not press on after being

asked to stop, do not threaten anyone. Anything aimed at a person rather

than a topic does not belong here.

4) Privacy

Never post someone else's personal data: name, address, the precise

location of a node, photos, private conversations or LXMF messages you

received. Your privacy is yours; so is everyone else's.

5) Nothing illegal

No content that is illegal in Quebec or Canada, no calls to harm anyone,

no pirated material.

6) Bandwidth is a shared resource

Write short and clear. One thread per topic. No repeats, no empty posts,

no advertising. Check whether the question has already been asked before

starting a new thread.

7) Post in the right place

The title should say what it is about. Technical questions go in Support,

network status in Network, builds in Hardware.

8) Your identity is your signature

Your Reticulum hash identifies you here. Do not impersonate anyone, and do

not use several identities to get around a sanction.

9) Moderation

Moderation decisions are written to an audit log. To dispute one, write

calmly in General or privately over LXMF; do not derail the original thread.

Consequences

Depending on severity: a warning, post removal, thread lock, a temporary

ban (7 days), a permanent ban. Points 2 and 3 can lead straight to a ban.
